Holy Virgin, cast a merciful glance upon those who are suffering and struggling against difficulties. Have pity on those who love each other and are separated. Have pity on those we love. Have pity on those who weep, on those who pray, on those who fear. Grant hope and peace to all.
On the fourth anniversary of Mother Angelica’s death, I am truly grateful for her legacy of EWTN, which has brought consolation and encouragement to people struggling to cope with the closing of so many churches due to the coronavirus pandemic. Mother, thank you for blessing countless people.
Lord of my salvation, hide not Your Face from me in this tribulation, but let the light of Your Countenance shine upon me. Help me to carry this cross, for alone I can do nothing. Radiate Your love upon me. I firmly believe that you will receive me in Your limitless Love and Mercy.
Comforter of the Afflicted, you long to bring us to your Son. Be our compass in our daily struggles and bring us ever closer to Christ. Give strength and consolation to those who suffer and mourn, the sorrowful, the sick, the dying, the poor, and all who are in need of your motherly intercession.
All-loving Father, through the intercession of St. Michael and St. Rafael, heal me of my spiritual battle wounds. Purify me. Make me whole.
Today we look with expectation to the great Solemnity of Easter, for which we have been preparing ourselves as a Church throughout the Lenten season. Let us rejoice in the Lord, for he is our light and our salvation. Christ is victorious!
Eternal Father, through the intercession of Mary, Our Mother in Lent, hold before our eyes all that you have given us, grace upon grace. May our Lenten penance not stop on the sacrifices, but bear abundant fruit through expectation, wonder, and gratitude in our longing for the presence of Christ.
Glorious St. Joseph, patron of the universal Church, please intercede for and strengthen the faithful whose dioceses have suspended public Masses in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Through their personal prayer, may they continue to stay close to Christ, whose love alone sustains us.
St. Patrick, intercede for us during this coronavirus pandemic, especially for those who have succumbed to the illness, and for those on the frontlines – doctors, nurses, priests, and other carers – that the Lord will protect them as they place their own wellbeing at risk in the service of all.
Lord Jesus Christ, we humbly entrust to You the Church in China. Help our Chinese brothers and sisters to trust in and cling to You and the Rock upon which you have built Your Church. Heavenly Father, may freedom of religion be respected and upheld in fuller measure throughout the land.
