Are you ready to examine your prayer? Think about it: when you pray, do you go around with your thoughts and your ideas, that sometimes are erratic, or do you allow yourself to “feel” with the heart? You must give a chance to the School of the Heart, which is the language of God. Silence your ideas and the external noises to pray. Listen to music that inspires you and take a passage from the Gospel. Ask yourself … Whatdid you feel about the music and how did the Gospel make you feel? Stay in the feeling and in the images, do not elaborate ideas. Stay with your eyes closed, tasting and feeling … When you have finished, take a note on what have happened.
The disciple is the one who walks behind, the one who follows the Master, but also the one who remains faithful to the Word of the Master. He tastes this Word, chews it up day and night, until he allows himself to be transformed by it. He likes and inner feels every word.
