“Lord Jesus Christ who are close to the suffering,
we bring before you the desire that all people are treated with dignity, respecting their right to their development as worthy sons and daughters of God the Father.
Infuse us with your Spirit the strength and courage to defend the Earth, proper housing and the work of all.
Take special care of those who risk their lives for this;
shake our sleeping consciences,
and give us your grace to feel the pain of the other as our own,
and transform reality into a promise of life.
Here I am on this new day.
Place my heart once more
next to the Heart of your Son Jesus,
who is giving himself for me and who comes to me in the Eucharist.
May your Holy Spirit make me his friend and apostle,
available for his mission of compassion.
I place in your hands my joys and hopes,
my works and sufferings, everything that I am and have,
in communion with my brothers and sisters of this Worldwide Prayer Network.
With Mary, I offer you my day for the mission of the Church
and for the prayer intentions of the Pope and my Bishop for this month.

“Let us accept the challenge of Pope Francis expressed in his prayer intention to contribute, with courage and determination, according to our role, to respect and defend the fundamental rights of each person, especially those who are” invisible “(Cf. Pope Francis, 10.12.18)
- Respect human dignity:
“Faith exhorts us to commit ourselves seriously and actively to counteract indifference in the face of violations of human dignity.” (Pope Francis, August 12, 2020)
Respecting the dignity of people is acting with justice, with high transparency and facilitating the professional, personal, family and social development of people. Do you take into account the hands dedicated to the production of what you buy? Do you buy products produced by workers whose rights and dignity are respected?
- Take risks for others:
“It takes the courage to risk taking a leap forward, a daring leap to dream and realize the Kingdom of God like Jesus, and commit to a more fraternal humanity. We need fraternity: take your chances, go ahead!” (Pope Francis, August 11, 2018) Denounce injustices when you witness them and defend those who are criticized, slandered, or set apart.
- Get out of yourself:
“The invitation to go out of ourselves for love of God and neighbor is presented as an opportunity to share, serve and intercede” (Pope Francis, May 31, 2020). Following Jesus implies living like Him: learning to leave ourselves, to move towards those who are more distant, more forgotten, those who are most in need of consolation and help, also around you.
- Approaching existential borders
“Embracing the new frontiers of mission implies not only going to new territories to bring the Gospel, but also facing the new challenges of our time, such as migration, secularism and the digital world.” (Pope Francis, October 22, 2018). Existential borders and peripheries … Who do we find there? To those who are outside, not only geographically; they are those whom we have excluded from our existence. Get close to someone you have distanced yourself from.
