I take a moment to distance myself from my daily activities and reposition myself for what is next. I return to review in my heart the people who have shared this day with me. Who are they? How have our conversations been? Who has escaped my memory? “The search for a false tolerance must surrender to realism and openness to dialogue, and those who believe in this must stay faithful to their principles while still recognizing that others also have the right to be faithful to theirs” (Pope Francis). “Lord, help me to respect everything in my neighbors, including their dignity and rights. May my presence make them feel that they are Your beloved children.”
