I welcome the new day, ready to give and put into action all the gifts that the Lord has given me. “There is a boy who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what good are these for so many?” (Jn 6:9). “The Lord answers to the needs of humankind, but He desires that each one of us, in our own way, acts compassionately like Him” (Pope Francis). With Jesus during the day

I slow down the pace of my day to reset myself. The Pope tells us that “everyone can learn something, nobody is useless, and nobody is dispensable. This requires us to include those on the margins” (Pope Francis). Dialogue and social friendship start to grow in our own lives with groups who we habitually leave behind because of differences in ideas or feelings. What will I do daily to treat better the people who have differences with me? Do I open myself to dialogue and listening? “Lord, help me to be an architect of dialogue.”

Recall the week and consider how God has sought you out. Thank Him for what you have received: a good sense of humor, health, beauty, your ability to work. Reflect on how you have used these things. Have you cultivated dialogue and peace in your relationships? Recall a situation that required forgivness in some way. Are you open to respecting and valuing the other, treating them with care? Come up with a commitment for the new week. Hail Mary…
