This pause in the afternoon is a moment to encounter the Lord and look back with Him at what I have experienced. To learn to encounter myself with Him gives my heart the abiliity to encounter my sisters and brothers. “Life is the art of encountering, even though there is so much failure to see people for who they are” (Pope Francis). How have my personal encounters been? Do I know how to give myself time to listen, attending to others’ needs with generosity and devotion? “Lord, may I learn to foster encounters that express harmony and welcome.”
