I am grateful for the new day, and I resolve to discover the presence of the Lord in all that I experience today. “And stretching out his hands toward his disciples, he said ‘here arem y mother and my brothers, for whoever does the will of my heavenly father is my brother, and sister, and mother” (Mt. 12:49-50). “It is good to keep in mind that the world is not the sum total of different nations, but rather the same community that exists among them; it is mutual inclusion that is first and foremost to emergence of.a particular group.” (Pope Francis). With Jesus during the day

A healthy experience is to accept that we have imperfect bonds and that we love people imperfectly because of how we hurt them. Love hurts because we often fail to love. The challenge is to learn to sustain ourselves in these bonds with the conviction that difficulties help to strengthen love. THe cross is a part of these bonds, and persevering in them is love’s resurrection. Do I sustain my bonds in times of difficulty? How can I have an outlook of protection and compassion?

With Jesus in the night

Take a break to close out the day and give thanks to the Lord for the people who have left a mark on you, those with whom you sympathize and those with whom you don’t. Take note; notice anything you have learned, especially people who have been more difficult. What do you value in them? How do they enrich you? Do you try to listen to them, or do you remain in your prejudices? Give thanks for these people that God has put in your life, and seek out a way of coming on good terms with them. Prepare to be renewed tomorrow. Hail Mary…
