With Jesus in the morning

I start the day offering my life to the Lord for him to do with it as he wants. “Behold my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom I delight, I shall place my spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the gentiles. He will not contend or cry out, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets” (Mt. 18-19). “Patient and trustworthy dialogue is necessary so that indivudals, families, and communities can pass on values and their own culture, and so they can wlecome the good that there is in the experience of those around them” (Pope Francis). How much patience do you have when faced with a different proposed solution? Do you seek to become familiar with it, or do you only try to refute it? Our Father…

With Jesus during the day

I take a moment to look back at how I am living out this day. What has moved my heart today? What has resonated with me in my environment? “The person who lives this peace never loses a sense of humor, can laugh at themselves, at others, and even at their own shadow (Pope Francis). “What good would it be Lord, to take things with good humor, with trust in the process. Give me the courage to overcome differences with dialogue, decision, and good encouragement.”

With Jesus in the night

Calm your mind as this day ends. Recall the graces you have received. How did you endure the trials of your life or of others’ lives? Did you respect your boundaries and the boundaries of those around you? Did you remain calm, or did you ever feel impatient? Finish the day praising God, asking forgivness for any moments where feelings in the heat of the moment took the place of patience. What do you resolve to do for tomorrow? Hail Mary…
