With Jesus in the morning

I remember the apostles St. Peter and St. Paul. Jesus said to Simon: “You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church” (Matthew 16:13). Simon was not called a “stone” because he was a solid and reliable man, but because he chose to build his life on Jesus. The same can be said about St. Paul. Today, I am the one called to be a “stone” in the construction of the Church of Jesus. With Jesus during the day

“And all of you serve one another in a humble spirit, for God gives special blessings to those who are humble, but he opposes those who are proud” (St. Peter the Apostle). Pride separates man from God. The proud person thinks he is superior to others and infallible, that is, he does not need anyone. Pride is driven out by humility, a virtue acquired through a succession of small acts. Let us strive to remove pride from our hearts, like Jesus Christ, who gives his life (his time, his friendship, his love) to value the lives of others.

I calm my insides, take a deep breath and consider what made me happy today. I give thanks to the One who is the source of life and joy. I remember the people who went through my day. Is there one that is going through a more painful moment? Did I get close? How does the Lord look at that person? How do I look at this person? I ask for forgiveness if I have not truly met God and I make a purpose of committing myself to those who suffer next to me. Our Father…
