In their place should have been [human persons].” Take a short break and reflect on your relationship with others: Do you value those around you for who they are, or do you focus more on what they can offer you? Recall your purpose for the day and resume your activities.

The day is ending, look for a place to discover and be grateful for the love of God in your life today. How did you use both the spiritual gifts and material goods that the Lord gave you? Were you able to use them to the benefit of others or did you waste your time, what you possess, and your talents, without taking others or your environment into account? Keep in mind that “If we feel intimately connected to everything that exists, sobriety and care will spring up spontaneously.” If you see that you did not take this into account, ask for forgiveness and make a commitment for tomorrow.
