Be grateful for the new day that the Lord gives you, trying to make broken bread for your brothers and sisters, to satisfy their hunger, their love, their desire to live with dignity. “It is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven” (John 6:30-35). Let’s stop this afternoon to calibrate the heart. Pope Francis tells us “Let’s feed the good and put ourselves at the service of the good.” What do we feed in our life with our comments, with our attitudes and gestures? We are invited to be living signs of the good, the goodness and the beauty that the Lord has placed in the world. Let’s live this afternoon making sure that those who are close to us feel cared for, protected and cared for in their needs. Let us try to make the needs of our brothers and sisters our own.

Quiet your thoughts and say thank you one more day. Observe the people who crossed your path. How was your attitude towards them? Is there one that was left on the edge of your path? This month you are called to be attentive to those who no one sees, to the “invisible”, to those who suffer and “live on the margins of society or are discarded.” Ask for forgiveness if you fell into old habits and make your resolution for tomorrow.
