Let us wake up with the certainty to continue entrusting our lives to God. “Cast the net to the right of the boat and you will find some” (John 21:1-14). Many people are marginalized, thirsty, hungry, naked, and sick. Trusting in the Lord, let us cast the net again for them. Let us make justice real through our hands and our service to comfort the hearts of these brothers and sisters. Let us always respect the fundamental rights of each person, throwing the net even where there is no hope of fishing. Our Father…

With Jesus during the day

This afternoon the Lord invites us to take a break with Him. The resurrection of Jesus illuminates life and his presence turns darkness into light. “The darkness is overcome by the light, the useless work becomes fruitful and promising again, the sense of fatigue and abandonment leaves room for a new energy and the certainty that He is with us” (Pope Francis). May the power of the resurrection help us become one with our nations, homes, and works to unite our brothers and sisters.

With Jesus in the night

At dusk, slow down and consciously receive the Holy Spirit. Think about what you received today through the people you interacted with and the nature you enjoyed. Did you stop to appreciate these gifts or did you rush past? Were you as attentive to these people’s needs as if they were your own? How did you take care of these gifts of nature? That your life “can include concrete acts of compassion and respect for each person and care and custody for our common home.” Ask for this grace as you start the day tomorrow. Hail Mary…
