How much love exists in the Father, for Him to sacrifice His Son in reparation for our sins. Jesus lived a life of martyrdom for love of humanity, leaving us the heart of Mary to help our sufferings and give us peace. Jesus was condemned and crucified. He said to his mother: “Woman, behold your son.” Then he said to the disciple: “Behold your mother.” Then he said, “it is done,” and bowing his head, he gave up his spirit (John 18:1-19, 42). With Jesus during the day

The search for peace and justice in a tumultuous world is a challenge for us Christians, who are called to serve and promote the common good. Pope Francis invites us to contemplate the life of Christ: “It is thus, starting from the contemplation of Jesus, from our hidden life with Jesus in God, that we can carry forward these attitudes, these virtues that the Lord asks of us. There is no other way” (Pope Franics). Am I willing to help those who are marginalized? When contemplating the public life and passion and death of Jesus Christ, am I inclined to help those in need? Relaunch your day!

Enter the calm of the afternoon and be grateful for what you have received on this day. Who was part of your journey? Were you aware of the greatness of each of your companions, beyond their appearances? Did your faith translate into respect for what the other is and consideration of their difficulties? Keep in mind that “faith always demands that we allow ourselves to be healed and converted from our individualism … and to commit ourselves … to counteract indifference in the face of violations of human dignity.” Talk about this with the Lord and ask for help for tomorrow.
