Let’s begin our day with joy and humility, so that our hearts may be forged like that of Jesus towards his disciples, showing mercy and serving humanity. I have washed your feet, you too must wash one another’s feet; I have given you an example so that what I have done with you, you may also do for others” (John 13:1-15). With Jesus during the day

Let us meditate on humility, that virtue which Jesus perfectly taught us. It is seen in the courage of those who fight for the fundamental rights of those most in need. “The suffering humanity of Jesus and the sweetness of Mary. These are the two poles that the Christian must observe in order to live what the Gospel asks” (Pope Francis). Let us reflect, are we really serving others as the Lord teaches us, are we really being humble? How many brothers and sisters have we served today? Jesus does not rest, especially for the most vulnerable in society. Renew your intention for the day.

Find a quiet spot to close your day and give thanks for the gifts you have received. How did you live in your relationships with others? Did sincere love or selfish interests predominate? How do you look at those around you? Remember that “the coronavirus is not the only disease that must be fought, but the pandemic [brings] to light broader pathologies”, such as “the distorted vision of the person, a look that ignores their dignity” (Pope Francis).
