Welcome with devotion and gratitude this day in which we begin Lent. Lent is a strong time of prayer and meeting with the Lord to allow us to transform our hearts. “Take care that you do not practice your justice before men so that they may see you; in that case they will not have a reward from their Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 6: 1-6, 16-18). Pause to discover the Lord through what you have lived this morning. The Pope tells us that “the lack of dialogue implies that no one, in the different sectors, is concerned about the common good.” What do these words say to you? What commitment do you have to seek the good in your groups or communities? Take care of bonds, personal and common spaces, shared projects and collaborative work. Jesus cared for and accompanied his disciples. Today he continues to do so with you and with everyone. Renew your resolutions for today.

Take a moment to ask the Lord to show you the beauty of the day you lived and of the people you met, especially if they are women. Focus your attention on the values that are your own and that enrich your life. What do you want to be thankful for? Who shows you the face of God?
