Receive the day with openness and be ready to welcome the presence of your neighbor with joy. “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house” (Luke 11:15-26). Put in your heart the intention of this month and be grateful for the presence of lay women in the apostolic life of our communities who share their loaves and fishes to feed their brothers. “I gladly acknowledge how many women share pastoral responsibilities together with priests, contribute to the accompaniment of individuals, families or groups, and provide new contributions to theological reflection” (Pope Francis). Pause your day to calibrate your heart. Get in tune with what you have experienced this morning. What are you thankful for? Bring to your heart the encounters, the people, the places traveled. What jobs have you been able to do? In what moments have you found peace? Look at the obstacles that you have been able to overcome. Preparing the heart for the mission of Christ begins with a grateful attitude from the apostle who recognizes himself loved, cared for and chosen by the Master. Give thanks to him for everything and renew your offering for the mission of Christ.
