The saints had a profound love unlike anyone else, besides Jesus. They can teach us how to imitate Jesus in their ability to put the Gospel into practice. To love like Jesus is to think his thoughts, feel with his Heart, speak with the same meekness and courage, act according to his doctrine, and help others without distinction. It is a path of kindness and generosity, of prayer and service. In cultivating these attitudes, our heart is filled with joy and learns to overflow with his love.

Take some time to be alone with Jesus. Take a deep breath and look within yourself. Have you maintained the joy and peace in your heart? Have you acted charitably with your neighbor?
