I give you thanks, Father, for another day. “Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?” (Matthew 7:3). It is easy to see the faults of others. It is more difficult to recognize our own limitations. We are called to mercy towards others because we have been touched by God. In his image, we must also radiate the mercy to which we have been called. I offer you, Lord, my day for the prayer intention that the Holy Father entrusts to us this month, that all those who suffer may find their way in life, allowing themselves to be touched by the Heart of Jesus. Hail Mary…

The great challenge of faith is to maintain serenity and balance during times of adversity and suffering. Faith is to believe and experience freedom. It is to remain confident in following the path, regardless of the end result. When a person has faith, he believes that the miracle is yet to come, even if the result is different from what he asks for, because he knows that the control of the situation is in the hands of God and he always provides what is best for us.

Give thanks to God for another day. Review the many graces you have received today. Who was the face of God for you today? When did God come to you through the words and actions of your neighbor? End the day praising God for his action in your life. What resolution do you have for tomorrow? Hail Mary…
