Lord Jesus Christ
At the beginning of this year,
and bearing in mind that you came among us as Prince of Peace,
we give thanks for the gift of Your presence
and the call to fraternity that you bring us….
calling us your brothers and sons of the same Father.
This month, united to the Pope and his Worldwide Prayer Network,
We ask that we all feel this call
to the construction of peace and justice.
That religious, cultural and social differences
are not walls between us,
but reasons for mutual enrichment
and building a better world,
the kingdom of heaven among us.
Here I am on this new day.
Place my heart once more
next to the Heart of your Son Jesus,
that is given for me and that comes to me in the Eucharist.
May your Holy Spirit
make me your friend and apostle, available to your mission.
I put in your hands
my joys and hopes,
my works and sufferings,
everything that I am and have,
in communion with my brothers and sisters of this worldwide prayer network.
With Mary I offer you my journey for the mission of the Church
and for the intentions of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network for this month.

- Internalize yourself with the initiatives that are being promoted for peace during this month, especially the ecumenical and interreligious meetings, in order to spread them in your own networks and contacts or to participate in them.
- Make a prayerful reading of the Holy Father’s Message for the World Day of Peace, highligth the most attractive points and put them into practice, beginning with sharing and dialogue with God, with the family, with the group or community where you are inserted, etc.
- Look around you and recognize relationships or situations that need peace and justice and actually do something particular about them.
