I am grateful, Lord, for this solemn day of All Saints, when I am invited to remember the holiness to which we are all called. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5) Meekness is often a forgotten and misunderstood dimension of our lives. To be meek is not to be weak, but to acknowledge that there is still a long way to go on the road of holiness, receiving with open hands the help that comes from God and others. “To be holy you do not have to be a bishop, priest, religious or religious. Many times we are tempted to think that holiness is reserved only for those who have the possibility of moving away from ordinary occupations to devote much time to prayer. ”(Pope Francis) Holiness consists in accepting the Word of the Lord and how we can translate it into our daily attitudes. The way I see each situation, how I think, feel, judge, and act from the teachings of Christ, is what makes me holy, regardless of my state of life. Holiness is for everyone!

At the end of this day I look over what has happened. I am thankful for the moments that brought me peace and joy. I remember them and savor them again. I ask God to show me the main challenges I faced today. How did I answer them? Did I act freely, feeling love, hope and trust? Did I feel uneasy? Learning from what I have lived today, I ask that the Lord will give me the grace necessary tomorrow to act with inner freedom. Our Father…
