Join Jesus today through prayer, as did St. Teresa of Avila. “Give alms and everything will be clean for you.” (Luke 11:37-41). “Alms in the broadest sense of the word is a detachment from the dictatorship of money, from the idolatry of money.” (Pope Francis) Are you attached to money? What prevents you from giving alms to the poorest of society? Offer your day for the intention of this month, that the breath of the Holy Spirit engender a new missionary “spring” in the church. With Jesus during the day

At times we can be tempted with an excessive activism in our missionary journeys and as a result our prayer is diminished. Our prayer may become superficial, forgetting that we need to evangelize others from our deep, personal relationship with Jesus. Do you engage in missionary activity from your own love of God, or do you forget prayer in the midst of your busyness?

Give thanks to God at the end of the day. Bring to mind what you have experienced since dawn until now. What was in your heart today? Have you been available to God’s action in you? Become aware of your attitude of service and surrender to your neighbor. Do you live your day conscious of being a collaborator with Jesus in his mission of compassion for the world, in your environments and in your daily routine? Ask God how you can improve your actions for tomorrow. Hail Mary….
