On the path of faith, prayer is often used with certain criteria, telling God that you will engage in particular behaviors and attitudes, if miracles, signs and special favors are granted. It is necessary to be alert to this tendency. Are you conditioning your prayer? Is there superficiality in your daily meditation? Do you really need Jesus because you love him? Ponder how you address the Lord and ask for the grace that each prayer be translated into an act of abandonment. Remember to pray the Holy Rosary for the this Extraordinary Mission Month.

Give thanks to God at the end of the day. Review your experience, today. Pay attention to changes in your heart throughout the day. Did you experience joy, sadness, anxiety, fear, anger, restlessness, peace or hope? What feeling did you begin the day with and which ones stayed with you for the rest of the day? Take note of what you experienced. Try tomorrow to welcome the feelings of peace and get rid of those that obscure your soul. Hail Mary….
