With Jesus during the day
I stop at the halfway point of this day and take a break to look back at how I am going about the challenge to start dialogue before difficulties arise. “Social peace is hardworking and handcrafted. Integrating those who are different from us is much slower and more difficult, even if the promise of peace is real and concrete” (Pope Francis). Sometimes, we take paths that are quicker, applying ‘more effective’ solutions that leave people out and causing them to suffer unjust consequences. How have I lived out these realities? What have I done to include others in place of separating from them? At times, silence is consent to unjust situations.
